1. Controller
The data controller is the operator of MeetAnyCharacter.com listed on our contact page. Privacy questions: privacy@meetanycharacter.com.
2. What we collect
- Account: email address, display name, avatar, language and settings.
- Content: characters you create, chat messages, memories, generated photos and videos.
- Billing: plan, subscription status and purchase history. Card details stay with Stripe; we never see your full card number.
- Usage and security: Energy transactions, device and IP signals used to limit guest previews and prevent abuse.
- Email: whether our emails were delivered and whether links were clicked.
3. Why we use it (legal basis)
- Providing the service — chats, images, accounts and payments (contract).
- Security and abuse prevention — rate limits, fraud and age-rule enforcement (legitimate interest).
- Reminder and comeback emails — you can unsubscribe anytime (legitimate interest / consent).
- Tax and accounting — keeping payment records (legal obligation).
We do not sell your personal data and do not use your chats to build advertising profiles.
4. Who processes your data
- Lovable Cloud — hosting, authentication, database and file storage.
- Stripe — payments and fraud prevention.
- AI model providers (Lovable AI Gateway, RunPod) — generating chat replies, photos and videos from your messages.
- Resend — sending account and reminder emails.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
Some providers are located outside the EEA. Where that happens, transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. How long we keep it
Account data and chats are kept until you delete them or your account. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires (in the Netherlands, 7 years). Security logs are kept for a limited period.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access and receive a copy of your data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data and account;
- restrict or object to processing, including emails;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent at any time.
Email privacy@meetanycharacter.com; we respond within one month. You may also complain to your data protection authority, such as the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

We use essential cookies and local storage only. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
8. Age
The service is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and notify you of material changes.
